Tony Williams on “The Best Thing For You,” 1965

After Paul Motian, Roy Haynes and Elvin Jones, my favorite drummer is Tony Williams, particularly during his teenage years. This recording from 1965 is from the end of that period and is a great example of his accompaniment style.
